“He WHo Has Endurance”
I've had one of those lives that I probably shouldn't be here and I know that sounds cliché but for me it's kind of true. I was born with an autoimmune disease where my white blood cells are unable to fight bacterial and fungal infections. I treat it with medicine. It's non-contagious. It's nothing serious insofar as that but it does affect my ability to train because I'm constantly medicated.
Also when I was 6, I got electrically shocked and that was terrible. I lost several fingers and have a chunk of my arm missing. Despite the rough childhood I decided to start training in martial arts at the age of 20. From there I continued training and started jiu-jitsu in 2015 and received my black belt in 2024 under Carlos Machado.
I am an active jiu-jitsu competitor, competing in the masters division at the IBJJF as well as ADCC opens and any other tournament that piques my interest. I'm a three-time veteran of the Toro Cup and a three-time veteran of the Fight to Win promotion.
In addition to jiu-jitsu I'm also a Jeet Kune Do instructor and I can trace my lineage back to Bruce Lee. I'm also a Filipino Kali instructor and I've been coaching kickboxing and Muay Thai for 15 years. In kickboxing and Muay Thai I've also competed several times at various levels of contact.
I'm truly at home on the mat, where I like to coach my athletes to get better at jiu-jitsu, get more confidence, and perform to their standards. I am an empathetic coach and like to see them succeed in ways they didn't even know was possible. I've decided to extend this online so that I can help you guys get better at jiu-jitsu, just like my athletes.
Thank you for following me on this journey and I hope to see and hear from you soon.
